Fort St John Site 1

This site is a commercial property located in Fort St. John, BC which was contaminated with hydrocarbons during historical service station operations at the site. The site was remediated using a combination of electrokinetics, biosurfactants, and hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria and fungi. The site was treated for 60 days and a significant reduction in hydrocarbons occurred in the groundwater. The initial increase in BTEX parameters following the initial treatment is typical and due to the use of biosurfactants.
